To explore how different beam parameters affect the dose distribution in a phantom.
Overview of module
This
module introduces the basic panels of Prism. A virtual water
phantom is loaded from the patient database.
Then the different panels are explored, such as the Patient panel,
the Plan panel and the Beam panel. The tutorial provides instructions
on how to get to these panels. More detailed information can be
obtained by clicking on the link buttons that can be found throughout the
tutorial. Time should be taken to explore other features
independently. Once familiar with these panels a number of tasks (but
no detailed instructions) are given to investigate the influences of
different photon beam parameters on the dose distribution in a water
phantom and the effect of inhomogeneity correction.
