Learning objectives

• To be familiar with the individual steps in the treatment planning process (contouring, beam shaping, plan normalization, beam weighting)

• To be able to create treatment plans for simple cases
  

Overview of module

A patient phantom is loaded from the patient database, including the CT-data. As in Learning module 1, different panels are explored such as the Volume editor, the Point editor and the Leaf and Portal editor. Contouring, beam shaping, plan normalization and beam weighting will be practised. Once familiar with the panels simple treatment plans will be generated, using multiple beams and additional tools such as wedges.
