The TCP
(tumour control probability) panel consists of two regions. In the
top area the parameters required for the TCP model can be entered and
modified.
These parameters are:
α0 |
Parameter
referring to the linear term in the linear quadratic model (compare
to literature, see Further reading) |
β0 |
Parameter
referring to the quadratic term in the linear quadratic model |
ρ |
Uniform
density of clonogenic cells in tumour |
σ |
Standard
deviation of a Gaussian distribution of the mean α0 (to incorporate patient
heterogeneity)
|
Patients |
Number
of patients with varying α0 |
Teff |
Effective
doubling time of tumour clonogens (in days) |
Ttotal |
Overall
treatment time (in days) |
TK |
Time
between first treatment and the start of tumour proliferation (in
days) |
In
the bottom
half of the panel all plans selected in the DVH panel are listed in
combination with the readout for the TCP value.
Functions
of the different elements:
-
Help: Opens a panel containing information about
the TCP panel
-
Read
Param: Retrieve set of
parameters.
-
Write
Param: Store set of
parameters.
-
Calc: When pressing this button the tumour control probability
is calculated with the parameters specified on top and for the selected
plans, which are listed above.
